I don’t go out to dinner a lot for several reasons–cost, calories, carb and fat. But several nights ago, after an appointment during the week, my husband and I decided to stop at O’Charley’s. I had seen some of the recent television spots advertising the 2 for $14.99 specials and also the 550 calories or less options. I had decided quickly to get the Bruschetta Chicken (550 calories for $7.49). It took my husband a little longer to decide, but his choice, Mushroom and Bleu Cheese Sirloin, also was in the category 550 calories or less and $7.49.
Sometimes these dinners look much better on the pictures than they look when they are brought to the table. But we were pleasantly surprised. They both looked beautiful and appetizing–a great presentation. And the taste was just as pleasing. They were served with a roasted tomato and steamed broccoli. The tomato had a great grilled flavor and the broccoli was cooked perfectly. We gave it two thumbs up! See other 550 calorie offerings on the O’Charley’s website.
