Finding seasonal color locally

Spring is quickly coming upon us, which means more fruits and vegetables will be coming into season soon. As more foods start to come into season, we can start to add more colors to our plates and try new recipes. As this year’s National Nutrition Month encourages, by adding a variety of colors to our plates, we consume a wider variety of vitamins and minerals. This year, try buying local produce from the farmers markets. By purchasing fruits and vegetables directly from the farmers, you are eliminating the “middle man,” which can decrease cost.
