As National Nutrition Month (NNM) comes to an end, it is importance to carry its messages with us throughout the year. Good nutrition is not just what a person eats; it’s a way to prevent illness, provide our body with the nutrients we need and most importantly, it’s feeling better by eating better. By choosing a variety of colorful foods along with whole grains, low fat dairy, lean meats and healthy fats, we can maintain a healthy weight and help our body function to its full potential. We’ve been posting weekly during National Nutrition Month in order to help spread the word and give you new ways to “Eat Right with Color.” After reading some of the blog posts, what does National Nutrition Month mean to you? What have you learned from NNM this year? How do you plan to incorporate more color into your diet throughout the year?
Remember to think color year-round, not just during March!
