November is National Diabetes Awareness Month and this year the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) is leading a new campaign called T1Day. November 1st (11-1-11) is a day now dedicated to commemorating the lives, accomplishments and triumphs of people living with type 1 diabetes.
National Diabetes Awareness Month is dedicated to all people who have any type of diabetes, including type 1 and type 2. For the remainder of November, our blog posts will be intended to raise awareness of diabetes in support of National Diabetes Awareness Month. It’s a time to recognize all people who are living with diabetes, to call attention to the severity of the disease and to learn strategies for prevention. Please stay tuned for some interesting facts about diabetes and where America is headed, information on upcoming events and, of course, support from our diabetes educators! Direct your friends, family and peers to our blogsite for more information and for resources to learn more.
There are many ways you can raise awareness, support and/or funds for diabetes research.
