Get Your Plan in Place: Tip #8

Spend more time shopping the perimeter of the grocery store. These aisles tend to be where you’ll find the fresh produce, meat/seafood, dairy products and bread. Remember that half of you plate should contain fruits and vegetables and dairy is recommended three times per day. No wonder this is where most of your shopping should take place!

Although you might spend the majority of your time shopping the outward aisles, don’t forget that the inner aisles have many healthy foods too. Make sure you stop on the aisles that contain pasta, rice, cereals, beans, nuts and spices. Try to avoid the aisles with sweets, desserts, sodas and chips.
