Are You High or Low?

Have you ever heard someone say that they know how their blood sugar is doing based on how they feel? It’s true, our body does send us some “warning signals” if our blood sugar is getting too low or too high, but we don’t really know what that number is unless we check it. Checking blood sugars regularly can help you find patterns that either tell you you’re doing well or perhaps need some changes in therapy. Read more about looking for patterns in your blood sugar here.

Judging what your blood sugar is can also be tricky because many of the symptoms of hyperglycemia (high blood sugar) and hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) are the same.

Quiz yourself. Based on the following symptoms, is blood sugar high or low? Click on the link at the bottom to get the answers.

Shaky?

Blurry vision?

Tired or fatigued?

Extreme thirst?

Hunger?

Sweating?

Irritable?

See how you did! Find the answers here.
